A long-time admirer of European culture, I’ve always been drawn to the finer things — quality tailoring, beautiful fragrances, well-made shoes, a good bottle of wine. Travel has always inspired me, particularly Italy, with its effortless blend of history, craftsmanship, and style.

When on holiday in Tuscany in 2019, I was shopping in a menswear store in Lucca which had drawn my attention with its stylish window display. While browsing, I sampled a men’s parfum — Pepe Nero — and added it, along with Spezie Nobili, to my purchases.

Inevitably, the bottles came to an end.  Searching for a replacement in New Zealand proved unsuccessful. I tracked down the brand — Logevy — and ordered directly from their perfumery in Florence.  The next step was the thought bubble:
